A home improvement project in Long Ditton, Surrey, replacing old timber windows and French folding doors with the latest Schuco bifolding doors and Smart Systems Alitherm casement windows.
The original French doors were designed to fold in a concertina style, but featured thick timber sections, deep bottom rails and multiple horizontal glazing bars. In the closed position, the dated design restricted the amount of light coming into the home. Our solution was to replace the doors and flag windows with the latest slimline Schuco ASS70FD bifolding doors and narrow-profile aluminium casement windows.
The result is a contemporary looking set of doors and windows that have dramatically reduced the sight lines and added much more natural light into the room. Added to the installation are contrasting door and window cills to retain the classic appearance of the property.

- Polyester Powder Coated in white with contrasting colour cills.
- Schuco doors with slim 122mm sight lines in a bi-parting opening configuration.
- Side hung opening aluminium flag windows.
- Doors glazed with toughened safety glass, with a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars and argon gas fill.
