  In a three panel, lift and slide design, this Visoglide sliding door is one of the most functional and versatile. First of all, is the lift and slide design. Each side of the door has a black rotating handle.  You rotate the handle, with the sliding panel raising off its track, ready to slide to the desired position.

  Then another feature of lift and slide patio doors is setting them back down in a secure open position.  Slide the door open, rotate the handle the other way and the door secures when open. A great solution for ventilation with some mild security or for letting pets in and out of the door gap.

  Also on this door is triple-track design. As a result, you get a two-thirds opening on this particular door. As a result, it makes the most of the clear opening, given that this is also smaller than a normal patio sliding door.

  The Smart Systems Visoglide sliding doors is one of the latest-generation of sliding patio doors, designed to be slim in appearance, light in use as well as secure and thermally efficient.

  The sliding doors have a triple track allowing the panels to stack behind each other and providing a two-thirds clear opening. Another feature of Visoglide sliding doors is their slimline mullions, reducing the aluminium sight line and maximising the glass area.

  One advantage of sliding doors over bifolding doors is their bigger glass panels.  Sliding doors provide more light, better views and especially in the winter months when the doors remain closed most of the year.

  When you do want to use the doors, the lift and slide arrangement works differently from conventional sliding doors.  Turn the main handle and watch the glass panel lift up of the track. You can then slide the door to the fully open or partially open position.  Another great advantage of lift and slide doors is you can drop the door back down in the partially open position and secure it. Great for leaving the door open and secure from the outside for ventilation.

  Many homeowners appreciate the advantages of a sliding door such as the thinner sight lines and bigger panes of glass.  To this semi-detached property in Morden, we took out the old two panel sliding doors with toplight and replaced them with the latest generation Smart Systems Visofold sliding doors.  Notice how the new thinner doors are stronger, enabling them to span the entire height.
